It takes or gives by picking blindly and then blankly vanishes but never leaves. Accepting the fact that we are not in control and we couldn't do anything to prevent it is vital and most challenging.
The process of recovery is called grief. The portrait reflects her personality shaped by an unfortunate event. There are no organic curves, just sharp cut lines. No natural growth, which would allow her mind to expand in the right direction at the right moment. No comfort of being able to unconditionally enjoy life in a safe environment. Gold represents the light, hope, and ability to recover."
